Jonathan Frid the original Barnabas Collins has past away. Sad that he will not be at the premier of the new movie. I loved the original show and I am looking forward to seeing the new version of it.

Why does it seem that I only post about people passing away?!?!?

I just found out that Thomas Kinkade pasted away on Friday. He truely was one of the great artest of our time. Now he joins he place sitting along side the masters. Rest in peace.

Well I have been coming to DA for a few months now and see so much talent that it scares me to put any of my own stuff up for all to see. I do not know how to use Photoshop, I use a really low end camera (6.1 mp), My sketches are no where near the quality of some artist on the site that are half my age.

I do not stick to one media at all. I paint, take pictures, sketch, and make clocks. I have alot that I need to scan so that I could, if I build up the nerve, post them on this site.  Plus as soon as I get a better computer I will get a photoshop program and see if I can use it.

Again I have seen some amazing art here from some very young people and it amazes me. This is a website that all young artist should join so that artist that have been doing this awhile can encourage them to go on an do great things. Sorry but you popped in to my head first.

The world would be a sad place if we did not have the younger generation taking an active interest in the arts. Here in the states Art programs are being cut in schools and to me that is one of the saddest things I could think of to take away from our children.
